La Posada de Santa Fe grew around the 1882 mansion of the merchant Abraham Staab and his wife, Julia, and is now a resort hotel. Newmexico.org and local legend say Julia Staab never left the house and often appears at the top of the grand staircase in the original building, and that she haunts the second floor. She is said to have lived a sad and lonely life in the house.
Operating resort hotel and restaurant; the original Staab House is part of the hotel. Santa Fe ghost tours stop here.
