Hotel Conneaut stands beside Conneaut Lake Park and has been a lakeside landmark since the early 1900s; fires have damaged it more than once. The best-known legend is of a young bride named Elizabeth who is said to have died in a fire and is still seen in the hotel. It came under new ownership at the start of 2024 and has been renovated, including a speakeasy-style lounge.
