Devil's Tower is a six-story Gothic stone clock tower built in 1910 on the Palisades above the Hudson in Alpine, long tied to local legends. One story says that if you drive around the tower six times backward, the ghost of Mrs. Rionda, whose family built it, will appear. New Jersey haunted-places lists include it, and the stories are local folklore. The tower stands in a residential area in a gated setting.
The tower is on private, gated land in a residential neighborhood and is not open to the public. Respect the neighbors and view it only from public roads or paths; do not trespass.
