The New Amsterdam Theatre on 42nd Street opened in 1903 and was the home of the Ziegfeld Follies, and it is now a Disney theater. Its ghost is said to be Olive Thomas, a Follies star who died in Paris in 1920 after swallowing poison in a death that was never fully explained. Staff and performers say she has been seen walking through the theater in the old Follies costume.
Working Broadway theater with year-round shows; attend a performance or take a backstage tour when offered.
