The Hollywood Wax Museum has stood on Hollywood Boulevard since 1965, inside the Spanish Colonial Revival Christie Realty Building, designed by Carl Jules Weyl in 1928. Founded by Spoony Singh and still family-run, it shows wax figures of film stars and keeps a Chamber of Horrors near the back.
The haunting reports come mostly from the people who work there. General manager Tej Sundher has said that mediums brought in for a couple of séances twice sensed spirits, and that night photographs taken in the building have shown odd disturbances. Ghost-tour write-ups describe temperature changes inside even with the air conditioning off, and one tour listing mentions a man in a cape and top hat.
Operates as a working wax museum, open to the public during posted hours; admission fee applies. Check the museum's website for current hours and prices.
