Established in 1794 on land donated by Noah and James Burr Jr., Stepney Cemetery is one of the oldest burial grounds in this part of Connecticut, with more than 1,400 burials including veterans of every American war from the Revolution through Vietnam. It is best known today as the resting place of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who themselves believed the cemetery was haunted by a "White Lady" spirit.
