Old Alton Bridge, an iron truss bridge built in 1884 over a creek between Denton and Copper Canyon, carried traffic until 2001 and is now a pedestrian bridge beside its modern replacement. It is better known as Goatman's Bridge. The legend centers on a Black goat farmer said to have been lynched on the bridge in the 1930s, and on a goat-headed figure seen on the far side; accounts differ on his name and the details, so it is best read as folklore about a real history of racial violence rather than a documented event. Travel Channel's Ghost Adventures investigated the bridge.
Open on foot, with a small parking area and a trail through the woods; respect the neighbors and any posted hours, and do not climb the structure.
