The Sweetwater County Library in Green River, a public library built on the site of an old cemetery, is listed by Travel Wyoming among the state's haunted places. Staff and visitors report books falling from shelves, lights switching on and off and strange noises at night, and the library runs night haunted tours in October. The stories are local lore, and the site's earlier use as a burial ground deserves respect.
Public library with regular hours (check sweetwaterlibraries.org); the October haunted tours are an evening event.
