Miner's Delight was founded in 1868, the year gold was found, as Hamilton City, one of Wyoming's first communities, and its mine shut in 1882 with brief revivals in 1907 and 1910. People lived here as late as 1960, and 17 log and wooden structures remain, including cabins, a saloon and a shaft house, in a district listed on the National Register in 1980.
Remote; the buildings are fragile, so stay outside them and away from shafts.
