Southern Utah University in Cedar City has some of the best-known campus ghost legends in the state, told by the university itself and by KSL. The old Old Main building is tied to Virginia, a young woman said to have been murdered in 1898, whose story varies from teller to teller, and to an unseen player who struck the auditorium piano at midnight, as reported in 1903. Campus theaters, including the tunnel to the Adams Memorial Theatre and the Randall L. Jones Theatre, are said to have piano music, whistling and voices. These are campus legends and informal investigations.
Working university campus; the grounds are open, but the buildings are open only during events and class hours. The pin marks the campus.
