The Seven Sisters Inn is a bed and breakfast in the Ocala Historic District, made up of two Victorian houses, one painted purple and one pink, built around 1890 to 1891. The inn is known as one of the most haunted places to stay in Florida, and the SyFy series Ghost Hunters investigated it in 2008. During the investigation the team's K2 meter lit up in a childlike pattern, and lead investigator Jason Hawes reported seeing a small dark figure run from room to room at the top of the stairs. Guests have described the apparitions of a man, a woman and a child, voices, shadows and a small presence that takes shoes. Visit Florida lists the inn among the state's haunted hotels. The stories are guest and investigator lore.
