The Sweetwater Branch Inn occupies a pair of restored Victorian mansions in Gainesville dating to the 1890s and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Guests staying in the inn's blue house have reported a heavy feeling on their chest while trying to sleep, and staff say cabinet doors and drawers have been found open or closed with no one nearby. Some guests report seeing the apparition of a woman in one of the upstairs rooms.
