Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Rosiclare, is said to be haunted by the spirit of Ahab Gullett, whose weathered tombstone bears the old epitaph: "Friends beware as you pass by, as you are now so once was I. As I am you soon shall be, prepare for death and follow me." Local legend holds that reading the inscription aloud at his grave will summon spirits. Visitors also report hearing bells and the sound of a gate opening and closing near a small creek at the back of the cemetery.
