La Posada Hotel stands on the banks of the Rio Grande in downtown Laredo, next to St. Augustine Church, in a Spanish Revival building that once housed a school and convent of the Sisters of Divine Providence. Guests and staff report a little girl with pigtails in the lobby, a nun, footsteps and running in the empty ballroom, and doors opening and closing on their own. The hotel's small museum is also the subject of stories about a cradle that rocks by itself.
Working hotel with a restaurant and a small museum; the lobby is open to visitors.
