The Hinsdale House, built in 1853 in the Allegany County village of Hinsdale, is widely called one of the most haunted houses in the Northeast. In the early 1970s the Dandy family, who lived there with their children, reported such frequent and frightening activity that they asked a priest, Father Alphonsus of St. Bonaventure University, for help. It is now owned by Daniel Klas, who is restoring it and opens it for paranormal investigations. Ghost Files visited in "The Haunting of The Hinsdale House" (2023).
