At the Kopper Kettle Inn, staff and guests describe several active spirits in the building. Operating from a building that started as an 1858 stagecoach stop, the Kopper Kettle was established as a restaurant in 1925 by Muriel, who ran it with husband Robert until his death in 1959 before passing it to her daughter Millie; it's been featured in Duncan Hines's Adventures in Good Eating since the 1930s and remains one of the oldest continuously operating restaurants in Indiana, known for its family-style pan-fried chicken.
