Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is a long-running Minnesota dinner theater that opened in 1968 and stages large productions alongside a full meal. Local lore says the theater was built on the site of a house that burned with a woman inside, and that she haunts the new building, along with an actor who was killed by a car while bicycling home. Another tale places three heart-attack deaths in the Fireside Theatre. A local newspaper has called the ghost a rumor that will not die, and the stories are best read as theater legend rather than documented history.
A working dinner theater; tickets are required for performances and meals. Check its website for the current season.
