The Wren Building at William & Mary, begun in 1695, is the oldest college building in the United States and was used as a hospital during the Revolutionary War and Civil War. Campus ghost lore says a French soldier who died there during the Revolution still walks the building, and Williamsburg ghost tours stop at the campus. The tale is campus legend with no documented source.
Historic building on the William & Mary campus, open to visitors during posted hours.
