Tor House and Hawk Tower were built by the poet Robinson Jeffers and are now preserved by the Tor House Foundation. Jeffers wrote that his ghost would not need to be searched for, and locals variously suggest that he or his wife Una lingers; visitors report noises and cold spots. Guided tours only on limited days, booked in advance; photography restricted.
