The TNT Area north of Point Pleasant, once the West Virginia Ordnance Works that made explosives in World War II, is now part of the McClintic Wildlife Management Area, with abandoned concrete bunkers a short walk from the road. It is the site most tied to the Mothman legend, which began in November 1966 when witnesses reported a large winged figure here and around Point Pleasant, sightings that continued through December 1967.
Public wildlife management area with roads and trails; stay out of old structures that look unsafe and observe posted rules. The pin is approximate to the TNT Area.
