The Elms is a 1912 resort hotel in Excelsior Springs, a spa town that drew visitors to its mineral waters, and it is often called the most haunted hotel in Missouri. Stories name a man from the speakeasy days said to have been killed by the mob, a frantic woman searching for her child near the basement lap pool who pulls hair and throws things, and a young maid who appears to supervise the staff. Ghost Hunters investigated the hotel in a 2013 episode, and the hotel's own staff lead nightly paranormal tours. It is still an active hotel and spa.
An operating hotel and spa; rooms can be booked. Nightly paranormal tours are offered, so check the hotel's site for times and tickets.
