Rose Hill Cemetery carries two local legends. The first involves a large, above-ground square tomb that's said to knock back if you knock on it. The second involves a headstone bearing the name Wolf with what looks like a large bite taken out of it, rumored to be a werewolf's grave — in reality, the marker belongs to a man with the surname Wolff, buried beside another man named Wear, and the cemetery has since relocated one of the two headstones. A visitor who investigated in 2005 found a matching tomb but no reply when they knocked, and could not locate a stone with bite or scratch marks, though they didn't search the entire cemetery.
City-operated cemetery, open at all hours. Visit in daylight and treat the graves with respect.
