The Museum of Colorado Prisons occupies a retired cellhouse at the Colorado Territorial Prison in Cañon City. Visitors and staff describe cold spots and the smell of tobacco in the old laundry room, where women incarcerated at the prison once worked, and orbs in photographs taken in cell 19, tied to a woman who died there; visitors have also reported coughing with no source in that cell.
