Congressman Samuel W. Peel built this Italianate brick house in Bentonville in 1875, and it is now the Peel Museum, open to the public with botanical gardens around it. Staff and visitors report piano music from a room that proves empty when anyone goes in, and a woman in white moving through the house; both are usually attributed to Peel's daughter, Minnie Belle. Others describe small objects shifting and figures caught at the corner of the eye, which the staff put down to the Colonel himself, keeping an eye on the place.
Peel Museum is open to the public; check its hours before visiting.
