Centralia Foundation Park, a 300-plus-acre private park established in 1943, includes a sledding hill nicknamed Stover's Hill after Paul Stover and his father Hollie B. Stover, the civil engineers who designed the park's roads, bridges, and stone entrance piers. At the bottom of the hill, near an old merry-go-round, visitors have reported photographs capturing the ghostly image of a family that wasn't there when the picture was taken.
Privately owned park that is free and open to the public from dawn until late evening, with the main road closed in winter. Alcohol is not allowed. Follow the park's posted rules.
