Fort Ticonderoga on Lake Champlain was built by the French in 1755 as Fort Carillon and was fought over in the French and Indian War and the Revolution, famously captured by Ethan Allen's men in 1775. The Ghost Hunters team investigated it in season six, and the fort has hosted Garrison Ghost Tours, led by costumed interpreters, that retell the ghost stories from the episode.
Open seasonally as a historic site and museum, with occasional evening ghost tours; check the fort for hours.
