Florida Southern College's campus holds the largest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in the world, beginning with the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel, built largely by students working for their tuition between 1938 and its March 9, 1941 dedication. Campus lore holds that after the chapel's choir screen was installed incorrectly, Wright's own apparition has been seen staring over it in apparent disapproval. At Buckner Theatre, students and staff describe doors shutting on their own and the sensation of unseen hands moving through the stage curtains.
Working college with a National Historic Landmark collection of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings. Guided walking tours depart daily from the Sharp Family Tourism and Education Center, with reservations recommended; confirm times and fees at flsouthern.edu. Some buildings are in daily use, so stay on the tour.
