The Emlen Physick Estate is an 18-room Queen Anne mansion designed by Frank Furness and built in 1879 for Dr. Emlen Physick, and it is now the hub of the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts, which runs Cape May's ghost tours, in operation since 2004. New Jersey haunted-places lists put the estate among the state's top ten, with reports of visitors being touched, a child's voice recorded, and a pack of ghost dogs patrolling the grounds. Many believe the house is visited by Dr. Physick's aunt Emilie.
House museum with regular daytime tours and a calendar of evening ghost tours, seances and themed walks; check Cape May MAC for the schedule.
