Wolf Creek Inn, opened in 1883 as a stagecoach stop on the road between Portland and Sacramento, is the oldest continuously operating hotel in the Pacific Northwest and a state heritage site. Oregon travel writers say it is haunted by a spectral stagecoach driver, the ghost of Jack London, who stayed here in the early 1900s, and a young woman in the Clark Gable Suite. It has reopened under new management as an inn and restaurant.
