Stone's Public House in Ashland occupies a former tavern building and is known for its reputation as one of the area's most haunted restaurants. The Ashland Historical Society has collected local accounts in a piece titled Ghost Stories From Stone's. Staff and diners have described a little girl and a man believed to be John Stone, glasses flying from shelves and a feeling of being watched near an old picture on the second floor. Psychics who have visited have claimed to sense several spirits, though those readings are not verified.
