The McLoughlin House in Oregon City was the home of Dr. John McLoughlin, the Hudson's Bay Company chief factor known as the Father of Oregon, and is now a National Historic Site run with the National Park Service. Staff and visitors tell of footsteps and slamming doors that they attribute to McLoughlin, and Oregon ghost lists include the house.
House museum open for tours on a regular schedule; check the McLoughlin Memorial Association or NPS for hours.
