Built in 1830 as the Sterling Hotel, this waterfront tavern once drew soldiers stationed across the river at Fort Delaware; it now operates as the seafood restaurant Crabby Dick's. Not long after new owners took over in 2005, one of them dreamed a chambermaid told him to leave. Staff and guests report unexplained noises throughout the building, doors opening and shutting on their own, orbs showing up in photographs, and footsteps on the roof attributed to Kurty Addy, said to have died in a fall from it; he's still heard walking there at night.
