Colt State Park in Bristol was the Colt family's Poppasquash Farm before the state bought it in the 1960s and opened a shoreline park of lawns and walking trails on Narragansett Bay. Discover Newport lists it among the area's haunted spots: staff tell of a stable hand who died in the barn, now the park office, where lights and doors are found switched on or open after being shut off, and of two young girls seen on the park road who vanish when approached.
Free state park open daily from dawn to dusk; the pin is approximate and marks the park road.
